Adoption of New Payment System

The implementation of the new direct allowances payment system was initially introduced at Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) colleges in 2022, subsequently extending to university students in 2023.

In May 2023, university students benefiting from NSFAS were instructed to transition onto this system for direct allowance disbursement, commencing from June 2023.


Despite the innovative shift, students have raised concerns about high bank charges and difficulties accessing their allowances.
